Ireland’s largest public loss assessor, built to support every type of property claim
OMC Claims began trading as Des Owens & Company, later Owens McCarthy, in 1985. Founded by Des Owens, whose background in architecture and construction gave him a clear understanding of property damage and reinstatement, the business was created to give policyholders professional support when dealing with insurance claims.
The company built its reputation by helping homeowners and business owners manage claims with confidence, combining technical expertise, strong customer service and a clear focus on achieving the right settlement.
In 2005, Des Owens joined with Brian McCarthy, Chairman of Fexco Group, giving the business the backing and scale to become Ireland’s largest firm of public loss assessors.
Today, OMC Claims not only has loss assessors in Dublin but serves customers nationwide, supporting claims of every size, from everyday household damage to major commercial losses. Our scale means we have the experience and resources to manage complex claims, but our service remains personal, responsive and focused on each customer’s situation.
